Something that has caught my attention is that automakers are careful on stating that their vehicles have Ultra-high Strength Steel. Some call out a B-Pillar made from Dual Phase (DP) 950 as a High Strength Steel. However, reference the chart below and the Steel Industry considers SP950 as a UHSS, not a HSS.
In my book, DP700 is considered an UHSS. What do you think? Let me know.
