The wooden wedges we all carrying in our bunker pants pockets can be used to hold the outside/inside door handle open to keep the door latch in the open position. Typically, when spreading a door, the door can be pinned to the B-Pillar and quickly freed with very little use of the spreaders. Once the door is free, we are often only fighting the door latch and not the metal to metal between the door and the body structure of the vehicle. This is an older tip, but it never hurts to refresh everyone’s minds.
